Anthropic Extends Claude Fable 5 Access to All Paid Plans Through July 12

Anthropic announced last night that Claude Fable 5 access is being extended to all paid plans through July 12. The announcement came via the official @claudeai account, the same evening Cowork expanded to web and mobile.
Timing matters here. Fable 5 moved to usage credits on July 8 at $10 and $50 per million tokens for Max subscribers - a billing change that affects any session drawing on the model's full capabilities. Extending access through July 12 gives users on all paid plans four additional days at no extra credit cost before the metered model takes full effect.
Anthropic has not said what follows July 12. Fable 5 returned on July 1 after the US lifted export controls that had blocked the model for weeks. Last night's extension keeps access open a little longer - presumably while the usage credit rollout stabilises across plan tiers.
