Claude Fable 5 July 19 is the new promotional deadline. Anthropic posted the extension on X just after 10 PM tonight, pushing the Fable 5 access window back one more week for all paid plans. Claude Code's weekly rate limits stay 50% above the standard tier through the same date.

Same Usage Rules Apply - Half Your Weekly Limit on Fable 5

Anthropic kept the access terms identical to the previous window. Fable 5 covers up to half of a user's weekly usage limit, unchanged from before. Past that threshold, users can continue on Fable 5 by spending usage credits, or fall back to a standard model to keep working within their remaining weekly allowance.

Anthropic gave no reason for the latest extension. No public explanation has appeared for why the Fable 5 window keeps moving - first launched at no extra cost, then pushed to July 12, now to July 19.

Claude Code Rate Limits Stay 50% Higher Until July 19

Claude Code users get another week of elevated capacity. Weekly rate limits have run 50% above the standard tier since Anthropic reset them earlier this month following a stretch of service incidents. July 19 is now the expiry date for both the Fable 5 promo and the Code rate bump - suggesting Anthropic may tie an announcement to that date, or simply extend again.

Anthropic directed users to a Claude Help Center page for the full Fable 5 access terms and details on how usage credits apply across plan tiers. 827,000 people viewed the announcement in the first hour.
