Apple iPhone Launch Event Set for September 9 With New Models
Apple has confirmed a September 9 special event at Apple Park, with new iPhones expected to headline the presentation.
Apple iPhone launch event plans are now official: Apple will hold its next special event on Wednesday, September 9, at 10 a.m. PT at Apple Park in Cupertino. The company is promoting the event with the tagline “Surprise and shine.”
Apple has not announced the products that will appear at the event. TechCrunch reports that the presentation is expected to center on the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, while a standard iPhone 18 is reportedly being held until next year.
What Apple Could Announce
The rumored lineup goes beyond the Pro iPhones. TechCrunch says Apple could also introduce a long-awaited foldable iPhone, Apple Watch Series 12, Apple Watch Ultra, and new smart home devices. Those product details remain expectations rather than confirmed announcements.
Software could also be part of the presentation. Apple is expected to provide release timing for iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS Golden Gate, and other upcoming operating-system updates. Saganote's iOS 27 feature guide covers the major changes already announced for Apple's next iPhone software.
The event also comes at a leadership transition point for Apple. John Ternus is scheduled to become CEO on September 1, eight days before the presentation, according to TechCrunch.
Apple says the September 9 event will be available through Apple.com, the Apple TV app, and YouTube Live. The company has not yet provided confirmed product details, pricing, or release dates for the hardware expected to appear.
For now, the confirmed news is the date, location, and time. The rest of the September lineup will have to wait for Apple's presentation, making the event the company's next major hardware announcement of 2026.
