Apple Confirms Siri AI Launches September 14 With Five More Languages Coming in October
Apple is finally putting a firm rollout date behind its redesigned Siri, with English first and five more languages following in October.
Apple has confirmed that Siri AI will begin rolling out in English on September 14 alongside iOS 27. The announcement finally gives Apple's long-delayed Siri overhaul a firm public launch window after months of previews and developer testing. Apple says the new Siri is designed to understand more context, answer questions using broader knowledge, and help users get more done across apps.
The rollout is also the first major step in Apple's plan to turn Siri into a more capable AI assistant rather than simply a voice interface for basic commands. Siri AI launches in English with iOS 27
The first Siri AI rollout begins September 14 with the release of iOS 27. Apple currently lists the new Apple Intelligence features as available from September 14 and says Siri AI is rolling out in English.
Apple's official announcement describes the new Siri as more capable and conversational. It can use personal context from information such as messages, emails, and photos, understand what is displayed on screen, answer questions using broad world knowledge, and take actions across apps.
That makes the September release more significant than a normal Siri update. The new assistant is intended to connect Apple's AI capabilities with the information and actions already available on the device.
Five more languages are coming in October
Apple has also confirmed the next stage of the language rollout. Five additional languages are scheduled to receive Siri AI support in October:

- Japanese
- Korean
- Portuguese
- Spanish
The expansion is separate from the broader Apple Intelligence language list. Apple Intelligence already supports more languages, but individual features can have different language and regional availability.
What Siri AI can do
The redesigned assistant brings several capabilities that Apple has been previewing since WWDC. The biggest changes include:

The rollout has regional and device limits
Siri AI is not launching in exactly the same way everywhere. Apple says it will not initially be available on iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch in the European Union. Mac and Apple Vision Pro users in the EU can access Siri AI when their devices are set to a supported language. Apple also says Apple Intelligence and Siri AI availability can vary by region and language.
Supported hardware is required as well. Apple says Siri AI and Apple Intelligence support iPhone 16 models and later, iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, iPad mini with A17 Pro, iPad and Mac models with Apple silicon, Apple Vision Pro, and supported Apple Watch models paired with an Apple Intelligence-enabled iPhone.
Some Apple Intelligence features also rely on server models and can have usage limits. Apple has said that increased access is available with most iCloud+ subscription plans.
Siri AI moves from preview to rollout
The September launch matters because it changes the status of Apple's Siri project. The redesigned assistant has been visible in Apple's software previews for months, but September 14 is when the first supported users can begin getting the new Siri in a public software release.
