Bluesky has added a new feed control that lets users hide reposts from specific accounts without unfollowing them. The option is designed for people who want to keep following an account while seeing less of the content it shares.
The new control appears in an account’s three-dot menu as “Hide reposts in feeds.” Once enabled, reposts from that account will no longer appear in your feeds, while its original posts can still remain visible.
The feature is useful for users who want to keep following an account but are less interested in seeing everything that account reposts. It separates reposts from the account itself, allowing users to keep seeing the account’s original posts without having its reposts fill their feeds.
Bluesky is also preparing another small feed improvement. The platform told The Verge it will begin automatically adding post numbers to threads, making it easier to see how long a conversation is before reading through it. The feature is currently available in beta through Bluesky’s settings.
