Google CC Becomes a Shared AI Agent for Families With Up to Six Members
Google Labs is expanding CC from a personal agent into a shared household assistant with its own account, memory, and permissions.
Google CC is expanding from a personal AI agent into a shared assistant for families and households. Google Labs says up to six members can collaborate with the same CC, while each person controls what information the agent can access.
The biggest change is that CC now has its own verified Google Account. That gives the agent a separate identity and permissions model when it works with a household. Google says CC only responds to group members and will not act or share information outside the group without permission.
What Google CC Can Do for Families
CC can pull together information that family members choose to share and turn it into a shared “Your Day Ahead” brief each morning. It can track important dates and tasks, automatically add relevant calendar events, and keep shared schedules updated as plans change.

- Fill out permission slips and activity registration PDFs with permission.

CC Gets Shared Memory and Selective Access
Google says each member chooses what to share with CC and can change those choices at any time. Families can automatically share messages from selected senders, such as a child's school, or send individual emails, images, schedules, Drive files, or calendar information to CC when needed.
The agent also has shared memory. Google says CC can distinguish information that applies to the household, such as a regular grocery list or favorite family restaurants, from information that belongs to one person, such as dietary preferences or local time zones.
How Google CC Runs Its Tasks
Behind the scenes, each CC runs on an isolated cloud computer powered by Google's Antigravity agentic harness and its latest Gemini models. Google says this setup lets CC handle tasks across services including Gmail, Chat, Docs, and Calendar, along with actions such as checking drive times through the Google Maps API and creating shared Docs and Sheets.
That makes CC different from a chatbot that simply answers questions. It is designed to keep shared context, update household information, and carry out multi-step administrative work after receiving permission.
Google CC Is Still an Early Experiment
Google says CC is an early Google Labs experiment available on web and mobile to people aged 18 and older in the U.S. with a personal Google account. Existing users can receive an invitation to upgrade, while new users can join the waitlist.
For families, the practical shift is from asking an AI assistant for one person's information to giving a shared agent a controlled view of household logistics. The experiment will show how useful that model is when several people need the same schedules, tasks, and planning context.
