Apple Announces Foldable iPhone Duo With 7.6-Inch Display

Apple has announced the iPhone Duo, its first foldable iPhone, with a 7.6-inch inner display, 5.4-inch outer screen, A20 Pro chip, and a starting price of $1,999.
The foldable design uses a titanium frame and custom hinge, with Apple saying the device is its thinnest iPhone when fully open. The inner display uses a nano-texture finish designed to reduce glare and make the fold crease less noticeable.

A foldable iPhone built around two screens
The iPhone Duo is designed to transition between its outer and inner displays as it opens. iOS 27 adapts the interface for the larger screen, including side-positioned controls, a vertical dock, and support for running two apps at once.
The device uses the same A20 Pro chip as the iPhone 18 Pro models, paired with a custom thermal system. Apple says iPhone Duo delivers up to 35% higher sustained performance than iPhone 17 Pro, while its dual-battery design is rated for up to 31 hours of video playback on the inner display and 44 hours on the outer display.
The camera system includes a 48MP Fusion Main camera and a 48MP Fusion Ultra Wide camera. Apple also adds foldable-specific features such as Smart Take, Duo Preview, and Duo FaceTime. The outer display can be used to preview photos, while the device can stand on its own for hands-free shots.
